“Now faith is the certainty of things hoped for, a proof of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

It certainly would not be faith if we knew the end from the beginning.  As we go through this right now world with all our microwave meals, fast food restaurants, instant pots and high-speed internet services; we can find it hard to have to wait anything out. We hear about God’s timing a lot when going through trials that require a wait and see approach.

Our verse tells us in the Passion translation that faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the thing we long for; it is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen.

The Father wants us to trust in Him when we are walking through the dark valleys of life; and the last two years have been a trust walk for the entire world. This does not mean the Father enjoys watching us suffer and worry, in fact, Jesus warned us in His Word that we will suffer hardships. These calamities and tragedies do not come from the Lord but Satan himself.

Jesus said,

“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in Me. Here on Earth, you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”  (John 10:10)

Our faith is what is going to get us through our dark nights and desperate days. As I pen this blog, I am going through my own valley of sorrows as I lost my mom just a few days ago. It was sudden, traumatic and devastating but Jesus and my now faith are carrying me through!

Why? Because I believe what God’s Word says about those who die in Christ and that one day, I will see her again. Though I need to wait it out before I see her again; my faith is my proof that one day it will be so and my hope in Him will not disappoint. I can find joy in that, and I am confident He will hold my hand, and yours, through it all!

Beloved friends, I can attest to this fact, without Jesus as your Lord and Savior carrying you through life events like this, the journey will be treacherous. Call out to Him today and make Him your Savior!

Jesus said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in Me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? Therefore, we are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.  For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.  So, we should fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. Brothers and sisters do not be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” Then I heard a voice from Heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.” (John 14:1-2, 2 Cor. 5:8; 4:17-18, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14, John 11:25-26, Rev. 14:13)

ABOUT Marie Scinto

Marie Scinto
“You are God’s girl and He loves you! You sprinkle His seeds of love wherever you go!” Those words were spoken to me by my husband Joe many years ago. They came at a time when I was questioning my self-worth in God’s Kingdom, purposes, and plans. The Father made sure that in my darkest spiritual hour, I heard His Truth about my identity and self-worth. It has been my passion ever since to deliver that same message to any who may need to hear it. It is not about who we are, but Whose we are, and I am God’s girl!
