“In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:2-3
Acts 2:17~
In the last days, God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.’
Daniel 12:4~
But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.
I believe this is a confirmation that God is about to pour out His knowledge on those who have been obediently waiting in their secret place. The key to receiving His knowledge is understanding what waiting on God means. The Hebrew word shamar from Strong’s 8104 means: to wait, attend, be diligent, keep watch, maintain, observe, pay attention, perform, and to take note. It reminds me of a waitress who diligently keeps watch over her tables in case there is anything they need. The following scriptures use the word shamar.
Proverbs 8:34~
Blessed is the man who listens to Me, watching daily at My gates, waiting at the posts of My doors.
Psalm 18:21~
For I have kept the ways of the Lord and have not wickedly departed from my God.
Waiting patiently in His Presence is the key that unlocks the mystery to His treasure box. Being with Him in the quiet places of your heart allows you to hear His still small Voice. Oh, the peace of those moments resting in Him. So many revelations are unfolded in His ways that were once tangled up in our ways.
Isaiah 55:9~
For as the Heavens are higher than the Earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.
Psalm 18:30~
As for God, His way is perfect; the Word of the Lord is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in Him.
I am reading a book by Eric Gilmore called Opening the Divine Treasure Chest, Your Pathway Into God’s Presence. He tells us that we need to enter our secret place with adoration, no agenda, and stillness so that He can speak with us. He says, “Often, we cannot hear God or experience His heart simply because our hearts are not willing to yield enough to wait for God … Waiting is yielding to God by taking the time to give all our attention. It’s a turning of our attention, if you will. When you turn and sustain your gaze wholeheartedly in adoration upon God little by little your soul will begin to detach from the cares of this world. It will release your heart from self-consciousness and dissolve the “itch of efforts” and the “frenzy of need”. In giving God all our attention, we become quiet and still. Quietness is the absence of external noise. Stillness is the absence of internal noise … Without His Presence, we will get tired of waiting, because we must understand that we do not wait for His Presence, but in His Presence. We must note that, in these moments of yielding in His Presence, the purpose of prayer is being accomplished. Here we resign ourselves to linger content with Him alone … Lingering is gazing upon Him by sustaining all our attention upon Him. Soon the clutter clears, and we can hear, perceive, know, and often times find contentment with Him. The bliss of His Presence is found in the enjoyment of waiting upon God.”
The key is in the waiting. The treasure box it opens is His Word. In His Word lies all the knowledge, wisdom, discernment, understanding, power, and answers we need for all our questions. In Proverbs 4:20-22 we are directed to pay attention to what God says. It reads, “Turn your ear to My Words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.”
God’s Word is life!
Oh Father, may we this day nourish our souls with Your life-giving Word. Let it live deep within our hearts, changing us, rearranging us, and bringing us closer to You with every word we read. May we have the faith to believe in our hearts and to trust what it says shall be. Purify our hearts and renew our minds to Your Word. May it bring us into a right relationship with You, where we can see, hear, and know Your voice. May we allow it to direct us and be tuned in to Holy Spirit so we can live the life You have planned for us. We want to stay on the straight path with all its wonderful promises and blessings. Father, Your Word brings life, healing, and wholeness to one’s body, soul and spirit. I pray all who read this prayer will receive for themselves and loved ones. This is the key that opens your treasure box to all Your wonderful promises for Your children. We take it now and receive the abundant blessings within it. May we use it to further Your Kingdom Father and to glorify the Name of Jesus. May we walk in the understanding and knowledge that only Holy Spirit holds. We ask this all in the magnificent name of Jesus, Yeshua. Amen.
Shalom Shalom. Nothing missing. Nothing broken.
