“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

Last week, the Lord spoke through me while praying. He said, “It’s a solid now. It’s not just a substance anymore but a hope. It’s your faith and you’ll see it come to pass.” The word for hope in Greek is elpís and means to have an expectation of what is sure and certain. Jesus is showing us that hope and faith are the tools we need for His purposes and plans to be accomplished in our lives. In Matthew 17:20, Jesus said our faith can move mountains, but we need hope to fuel it which then ignites His power to move obstacles out of our way. Our hope stirs up our faith and connects us with God who then causes all things to work together for our good.

Faith is called a substance in scripture which means a confidence and is used to illustrate a foundation or solid structure. Jesus told me that my faith became more than a substance and was activated through the hope I gained by reading, studying, and meditating on His Word. By praying with Him in the spirit, we will produce a hope that will move mountains, answer prayers, and align us with His Will and Word.

Faith lays a foundation in which hope can be built upon. Hope becomes a structure, a holy Temple, within our spirits, in which the Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit can reside. We can now boldly proclaim, “He that is in me, is greater than he that is in the world.” And “Move from here to there,” and it will move because nothing is impossible with God, and if He resides in you, then He will work through you. Jesus told us to speak to our mountains, and that is exactly what we need to do. We cannot waiver in it either, when we doubt it gives permission to demons to interfere with our destiny. Beloved, it is truly a privilege to believe in God’s Word by faith! I heard a pastor say that faith comes by hearing the Word; and fear comes by listening to the world.

Once our faith and hope overlap, we will become a force to be reckoned with against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. This is how we storm the gates of hell and become more than conquerors in Christ. This is how we can be confident that our God will supply all our needs, and that He will finish the good work He started in us! Read His Word below and allow it to add to your faith.

 2 Peter 1:5-8

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 6:18

“Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.”

Romans 8:24

“For in this hope we were saved [by faith]. But hope which is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he already sees?”

Romans 8:28

“And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.”

Matthew 17:20

Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”

John 14:23

“Jesus answered, “If anyone [really] loves Me, he will keep My word (teaching); and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling place with him.”

1 John 4:4

“But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.”

Luke 1:37

“For nothing will be impossible with God.”

Matthew 16:18-19

“I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on Earth shall be bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose on Earth shall be loosed in Heaven.”

ABOUT MARIE SCINTO

Marie Scinto
“You are God’s girl and He loves you! You sprinkle His seeds of love wherever you go!” Those words were spoken to me by my husband Joe many years ago. They came at a time when I was questioning my self-worth in God’s Kingdom, purposes, and plans. The Father made sure that in my darkest spiritual hour, I heard His Truth about my identity and self-worth. It has been my passion ever since to deliver that same message to any who may need to hear it. It is not about who we are, but Whose we are, and I am God’s girl!
