“And I tell you this, you must give an account on Judgment Day for every idle word you speak. The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.” Matthew 12:36-37
These are some of the most important words Jesus has ever spoken because they contain eternity in them. Every person born into this world will one day stand face-to-face with Jesus whether they believed in Him or not. Jesus said every knee will bow to Him and every tongue will confess to God. Romans 14:11
On the day of our review, when Jesus seeks an answer to how we lived for Him, we will give an account for every word, thought and deed done. Jesus does not condemn, there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus; our own works (good or bad) will judge us. I pray this truth sobers your soul and makes you pause here and take an account of your life thus far ~ it surely did for me.
Romans 14:12
So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.
The moment we find ourselves standing in the presence of pure light, holiness, and perfection, we are going to see just how much we have fallen short of His Glory (Romans 3:23) and like Isaiah cry out: “Woe is me! For I am ruined because I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of unclean lips. For my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Hosts.” Isaiah 6:5
One day Jesus is going to ask you, “What did you do with what I gave you?” And at that very moment every unrepented word, thought and deed will be laid bare as your very own heart exposes the truth. We are told in Luke 6:45 that a good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say, do and act upon flows from what is in your heart. Have you ever met someone who was so incredibly kind and loving that as you stood in front of them you recognized your need to be a better person? When you stand in front of Jesus, who is full of Light and all that is good and holy, any darkness within your heart will be exposed without Him having to utter a single word against you. Take courage friends, there is good news in all of this, really Good News ~ Jesus loves you!
The word Gospel means good news and the Bible is our source for that news. It tells the true, eyewitness accounts of how Jesus came as God in the flesh and through His sacrificial death on the Cross paid the debt that we owed for choosing to live an unholy and unrepentant life. In Jesus, we can come Home and be restored. The good news is that Jesus rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven where He now intercedes on our behalf. He gives the Holy Spirit to all who receive Him and if we choose to obey, He reforms our desires and teaches us how to be the children of God we were always intended to be. All this was done so on that Day when our hearts are exposed and ready to condemn us, Jesus will say, “Well done good and faithful servant! Enter into and share the joy which your Master enjoys.” Matthew 25:23
Jesus is not as concerned with how well you serve Him, but how well you love others in His Name. If you walk in love, you cannot walk in unholiness. God is love and when you walk with God it is impossible to walk in the flesh and fall into temptation and sin. You must renew your mind daily through His Word; it is replete with instructions on how to live a godly life in Christ. In John 10:10, we are warned how the world is under attack by the enemy of our souls. Satan is out to kill, steal and destroy but God has given us the weapons to warfare against him. And for those weapons to work effectively we need to know Jesus in our hearts and be completely surrendered to His Will for our lives. Our ways are not the His ways; we make decisions that will serve our carnal desires but the Father’s ways serve an eternal purpose. Jesus is coming soon, and you want to be ready to face Him with a life well-lived for Him in love. What awaits us in eternity is something amazing that no human mind can understand, nor word can describe. Friends, Jesus is coming for His Bride, so it is time to prepare your hearts for His soon return.
“For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have Divine Power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. For it is by His Divine Power that God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the One who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. Seek the Lord while you can find Him; call on Him now while He is near. Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that He may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for He will forgive generously. For the Lord said, “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts and My ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the Earth, so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts.” What no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has conceived — God has prepared these things for those who love Him. So, you must live as God’s obedient children. Do not slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You did not know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I AM holy.” And remember that the Heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So, you must live in reverent fear of Him during your time here as temporary residents. For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious Blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. God chose Him as your ransom long before the world began, but now in these last days He has been revealed for your sake. So now the Spirit and the Bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes, take the free gift of the water of life.” 2 Corinthians 10:3-6, 2 Peter 1:3, Isaiah 55:6-10, 1 Corinthians 2:9, 1 Peter 1:14-20, Revelation 22:17

“You are God’s girl and He loves you! You sprinkle His seeds of love wherever you go!” Those words were spoken to me by my husband Joe many years ago. They came at a time when I was questioning my self-worth in God’s Kingdom, purposes, and plans. The Father made sure that in my darkest spiritual hour, I heard His Truth about my identity and self-worth. It has been my passion ever since to deliver that same message to any who may need to hear it. It is not about who we are, but Whose we are, and I am God’s girl!
