“For this reason, I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God.”
2 Timothy 1:6
When the day of Pentecost came, the followers of Jesus were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from Heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. We can see from scripture that God used the element of fire to express Himself. As a fire, God spoke to Moses from the burning bush; He inhabited among the camp of Israel in a pillar of fire; He dwelt between the wings of cherubim in the Holy of Holies as fire; He revealed Himself as an appearance of fire in Ezekiel 1:4; and at Pentecost, He emanated as a tongue of fire.
In A.W. Tozer’s, God’s Pursuit of Man, he wrote: “The God who had appeared to them as Fire throughout all their long history was now dwelling in them as Fire. He had moved from without to the interior of their lives. The Shekinah that had once blazed over the Mercy Seat now blazed on their forehead as an external emblem of the Fire that had invaded their natures. This was Deity giving Himself to ransomed men. The flame was the seal of a new union. They were now men and women of Fire.”
Deity was now indwelling men! THAT is Christianity in a nutshell! A Believer must grasp this knowledge to live out the Christian walk rightly. Knowledge is Power! “A wise man is strong, and a man of knowledge increases power.” Proverbs 24:5
God is not going to lower His standard of holiness to meet us in our mess. Instead, He is going to lift us up in righteousness to Himself and seat us in Heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 2:6). He does this so that we can become who He created us to be in Christ. We are His workmanship, His Poiema! He created us in Christ Jesus to do good works before we were ever born (Ephesians 2:10). Do not try to pull God down to your level, you will only end up wrestling and exhausted limping away from the encounter. Instead, allow Him to lift you up because He wants to pull you out of the trap of old mindsets that the world sets.
Child of God, stop listening and holding on to the devils lies. God says, “I’m good!” and the goodness of God leads to repentance. Repent for allowing this world to draw you down and change your identity. It is God who is supposed to raise you up so He can transform you into His likeness. Be renewed and restored in your mind today and be the person of God that He created you to be. Jesus wants His Church to understand the depth of His love and our true identity is in Him. When you apply this truth to your life you will see growth in your spiritual discernment and understanding. The veil will be lifted, and the plans and purposes written about you from the beginning of time will be come to fruition. You will not be deceived anymore by the wicked lies of the enemy that calls good evil and evil good. The truth will set you free. God will spare you from the harm of your past and with His hand of love upon your life, He will impart a blessing to you. He will restore everything you lost; He will have compassion on you; He will come back and pick up the pieces from all the places where you were scattered (Deuteronomy 30:1-5).
This is what God says about your identity:
2 Corinthians 3:18~
And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the Glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
Philippians 1:6 ~
And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
Lamentations 3:21-23~
But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Sit by the fire for a while and meditate on this truth. Let it warm the center of your being and radiate through your entire spirit, soul, and body igniting any burned-out flames!

ABOUT MARIE SCINTO
“You are God’s girl and He loves you! You sprinkle His seeds of love wherever you go!” Those words were spoken to me by my husband Joe many years ago. They came at a time when I was questioning my self-worth in God’s Kingdom, purposes, and plans. The Father made sure that in my darkest spiritual hour, I heard His Truth about my identity and self-worth. It has been my passion ever since to deliver that same message to any who may need to hear it. It is not about who we are, but Whose we are, and I am God’s girl!
