“Every generous act of giving and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father who made the sun, moon, and stars.” James 1:17
You may think God cannot use you for His Kingdom purposes, but I am here to tell you, “Think again!”
I was on vacation a few weeks ago during an arts festival and came across a booth of artists painting designs on shoes. I decided to have them paint the Poiema logo on a pair for myself. I was amazed by this young man’s talent. The intricate detail he was able to achieve with a brush and paint was astounding.
I do not know if he believes in God, but I can assure you his talent comes from Him. And, while he may not have been inspired by God to paint my shoes, I certainly was inspired by his talent to write about it for God’s Glory!
Whether you believe in God or not, your gifts and talents come from Him. We are taught in Exodus 35:31-35 that God gave the men of Israel the ability to teach and gifted them with the know-how needed for all types of crafting. They could make and design anything that was needed to fulfill God’s purposes.
Amazing!
This day, I challenge you to go gift-seeking! If you have a gift of compassion, bless someone with a word of encouragement. Or, show a stranger they matter to you with a simple smile.
So what’s your gift? I pray this inspires you to go out today and use it to bless someone with a simple act of love.
“You are God’s girl and He loves you! You sprinkle His seeds of love wherever you go!” Those words were spoken to me by my husband Joe many years ago. They came at a time when I was questioning my self-worth in God’s Kingdom, purposes, and plans. The Father made sure that in my darkest spiritual hour, I heard His Truth about my identity and self-worth. It has been my passion ever since to deliver that same message to any who may need to hear it. It is not about who we are, but Whose we are, and I am God’s girl!
