“Look with wonder at the depth of the Father’s marvelous love that He has lavished on us! He has called us and made us His very own beloved children.” 1 John 3:1

During these troubling times I am hearing the question being asked, “Is God causing all of this because He is mad?”

My answer to this is an emphatic, “No!”

Jesus said in John 10:10 that the devil comes to kill, steal and destroy but He came to give us life in abundance. If someone is being killed, stolen from or destroyed Satan is to blame.

Jesus’ death satisfied the Father’s wrath and to accuse Him for all that’s happening in the world completely goes against His Nature and His Word. By doing so you fall right into Satan’s trap of deception, doubt and unbelief. Just as Eve was led astray in the Garden, Satan is tempting you to doubt God’s goodness, mercy and grace. It also hurts His heart which is filled with love for His Creation when He’s imputed for evil atrocities.

The most important thing that could ever be said about the death of Christ is that God is satisfied with it. If He, the righteous Judge, is pleased to remit all penalties against us by virtue of what the Savior did on the Cross then there is no case against us forevermore. We can never again stand under God’s wrath if we have trusted in Jesus Christ.

To accuse the Father of being unpleased with us and in turn sending calamity is likened to denying the finished work of Christ on the Cross. What we are experiencing in this Country is not God turning on us, but humanity turning from God. He respects our free will and when we tell Him to leave our schools, courts, businesses and homes — He will.

According to Ephesians 6:12, the upheaval we’re experiencing now is being perpetrated through the evil powers and principalities of the air working through unbelieving men and women. We live in a fallen world folks and Satan is called the god of this world in 2 Corinthians 4:4. We’re going to experience corruption, calamity and evil but these do not come from a loving God. He can’t give us what He does not have; God is Light and there is no darkness in Him. He also didn’t leave us orphaned, helpless and unprotected. He gave us everything we need to escape the corruption of this world.

Beloved, we mustn’t blame our Creator God when bad things happen. He doesn’t send us sickness, disease, calamity or misfortune to teach us a lesson. He’s a good Father who sent His Son to destroy the works of the devil, set the captives free and heal all who came to Him. Don’t fall into the trap of blaming our loving Father for what the enemy of your soul is doing; this grieves His Spirit and maligns His good and holy Name.

ABOUT Marie Scinto

“You are God’s girl and He loves you! You sprinkle His seeds of love wherever you go!” Those words were spoken to me by my husband Joe many years ago. They came at a time when I was questioning my self-worth in God’s Kingdom, purposes, and plans. The Father made sure that in my darkest spiritual hour, I heard His Truth about my identity and self-worth. It has been my passion ever since to deliver that same message to any who may need to hear it. It is not about who we are, but Whose we are, and I am God’s girl!
