“Come to Me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David.” Isaiah 55:3
As we listen to all the disquieting news storming our senses, now more than ever, we need to focus on hearing the Voice of God to calm our troubled hearts. I felt a word of encouragement being spoken for those who are struggling right now to find peace.I was listening to a song called Fly, by Jason Upton, and a line grabbed my attention. When he sang “gotta’ have new ears” I immediately heard the Lord giving me a message:
“You need new ears to hear My Voice and not rely on others to hear for you. You need new ears because I AM doing a new thing in you. You need new ears to go with your new wine skin. You need new ears to deafen the old chatter and false narratives. You need new ears to see Me.”
Beloved, this is such an important word to embrace. The Word of God tells us that Believers in Jesus can hear His Voice. It promises us He will do new things in our lives by making a way where there is no way. It tells us that He can put roads in the middle of the wilderness and rivers in the middle of deserts. The Father is always making a way for His Children to escape the traps of the enemy. So many of us get caught up in snares because we get distracted by the chaotic noise that drowns out His Voice.
Jesus taught us about the importance of putting new wine into new wineskins.
Mark 2:22-24 ~
“Who would pour new wine into an old wineskin? Eventually the wine will ferment and make the wineskin burst, losing everything—the wine will be spilled, and the wineskin ruined. Instead, new wine is always poured into new wineskins.”
So, what is the ‘new wine’ God is pouring into your life at the moment? Are you being flexible like ‘new wineskins’ into order to receive it? Are you allowing yourself to let go of the old things that will destroy what He wants to do in your life and deafen your ears to hear Him?
Friends, we need to put off all old negative thoughts and emotions from past circumstances. We need new ears to hear His Voice. It is the Father’s Love that will rescue you from the torment of fear swirling around you. Stop focusing on the world and start gazing upon Jesus. I promise you; He will give you new ears to hear and new insight to deal with all the evil chatter of the world. He wants to do new things in your life and change the way you view your circumstances. He wants to show you that even though you may find yourself in a desert, He will supply a river. And, if you find yourself lost in the wilderness, He will provide a road for your way out! When you open your ears to hear the Voice of God, you will see a path set before you that leads right into His loving embrace. Hear what the Father is saying to you right now:
“Child, don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let Me transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Think about the things of Heaven, not the things of Earth. You do this by keeping your eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects your faith. Then you will learn to know My will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Come to Me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David. I did not give you a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and sound mind. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. Trust in Me with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek My Will in all you do, and I will show you which path to take.” (Romans 12:2, Colossians 3:2, Hebrews 12:2, Isaiah 55:3, 2 Timothy 1:7, Isaiah 43:19, Proverbs 3:5-6)
Worship with me: “And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper.” 1 Kings 19:11-13

“You are God’s girl and He loves you! You sprinkle His seeds of love wherever you go!” Those words were spoken to me by my husband Joe many years ago. They came at a time when I was questioning my self-worth in God’s Kingdom, purposes, and plans. The Father made sure that in my darkest spiritual hour, I heard His Truth about my identity and self-worth. It has been my passion ever since to deliver that same message to any who may need to hear it. It is not about who we are, but Whose we are, and I am God’s girl!
