“You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in Your bottle. You have recorded each one in Your book.” Psalm 56:8
As hard as waiting can be in a trial, sometimes a few more tears can be the healing balm we need instead of rushing back into our normal with our mask on to hide our tear-stained faces.
In John 20:1-18, we read how Mary Magdalene sat by Jesus’ tomb and grieved. As she was releasing her pain, it freed her to see what the others did not notice, Angels! Still weeping, she turned around and heard Jesus calling out her name.
The best time to experience the love of the Lord is in your times of grief. It is there where you have surrendered yourself because nothing the world can give you will ease the pain. Scripture tells us that in our weakness, God makes us strong in His Love. When you go to Him with tears, you are stripped of all other desires. When all you want is His Presence; your awareness of His love will touch you so deeply it will free you of griefs grip. True love operates in all sincerity and reciprocates. You will feel His embrace and Peace upon your heart when you go to Him with a sincere need for nothing but His Presence.
Healthy grieving is sitting quietly with God and releasing your tears into His Hand. Give yourself time to release the pain and free up your mind so you can hear Jesus calling to you. The waiting during grief is unbearable, but Jesus will show up and call out your name; and through your tears, you will find your peace and joy once more.
“You are God’s girl and He loves you! You sprinkle His seeds of love wherever you go!” Those words were spoken to me by my husband Joe many years ago. They came at a time when I was questioning my self-worth in God’s Kingdom, purposes, and plans. The Father made sure that in my darkest spiritual hour, I heard His Truth about my identity and self-worth. It has been my passion ever since to deliver that same message to any who may need to hear it. It is not about who we are, but Whose we are, and I am God’s girl!
