“But He continues to pour out more and more grace upon us. For it says, God resists you when you are proud but continually pours out grace when you are humble.” James 4:8
“Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. For the Lord your God is the One who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory. His divine power has given you everything you need for a godly life through knowledge of Him who called you by His own glory and goodness. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Know that in all these things you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you!” (Ephesians 2:6, 1 Corinthians 15:57, Deuteronomy 20:4, 2 Peter 1:3, Ephesians 6, Romans 8:37)
In scripture, we’re instructed to go boldly to the Throne of Grace, but what about the Throne of Judgment? For an unbeliever, that would be a frightening prospect. But as a child of God, it’s the wisest thing you’ll ever do in your Christian walk. Here’s why!
“My child, when the Lord God speaks to you, never take His words lightly, and never be upset when He corrects you. For the Father’s discipline comes only from His passionate love and pleasure for you. Even when it seems like His correction is harsh, it’s still better than any father on earth gives to his child. Blessings pour over the ones who find wisdom, for they have obtained living-understanding. For the Lord’s training of your life is the evidence of His faithful love. And when He draws you to Himself, it proves you are His delightful child. Fully embrace God’s correction as part of your training, for He is doing what any loving father does for his children. For whom has ever heard of a child who never had to be corrected? We all should welcome God’s discipline as the validation of authentic sonship. For if we have never once endured His correction it only proves we are strangers and not sons. So now we draw near freely and boldly to where grace is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness.” (Proverbs 3:11-13, Hebrews 12:6-8, Hebrews 4:16)
It pleases the Father when you go to Him in humility and ask Him to judge you rightly because His ways are holy and just. He won’t condemn you; He will forgive you for your wrong behavior. He will cast off the guilt of sin and unlock the shackles that keep you bound and afraid. Confessing all your sins to the Father will liberate you. He knows them already, so just give them to Him and be set free!
Once you free your soul from the bondage of sin, you’ll start to hear from the Father more clearly in your heart. You’ll have made room for Holy Spirit by removing the shame of sin and guilt which keeps Him out. This will clear your mind and your ears will be open to hearing His still small Voice.
Communication with the Father transcends human conversations. It’s more profound and meaningful and is so pure that it’s easy to understand. This happens because your mind is freed from all the distractions of the world and is focused on Christ. Jesus is called the Word of God ~ He’s the communication of the Father to His children. Jesus is the fulfilment of the Father’s promised grace to mankind. He’s the visible representation of what the Father spoke out of His Heart. Jesus is God in the Flesh.
“The Word became a human being and, full of grace and truth, lived among us. We saw His glory, the glory which He received as the Father’s only Son. Out of the fullness of His grace He has blessed us all, giving us one blessing after another. For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right! (John 1:14-16, Psalm 84:11)
Pray with me:
Father God, I want to be Your child and be part of Your Family. I receive Jesus now into my heart and make Him Lord over my life. I renounce all ungodliness and wickedness that I allowed into my life. I invite the Holy Spirit to convict me and teach me how to walk in holiness and righteousness. I cast aside all my pride and selfish ways and ask You to change my hard heart and turn it into one of compassion and love for others. Thank You Jesus for making all this possible and counting me worthy enough for you to suffer and die on the Cross. Give me grace to live a life worthy of You, Lord. Give me grace to say no to the things You hate, and yes to things You love. Give me grace to walk away from the temptations that call me into darkness. Give me the grace to turn and run towards the Light. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

“You are God’s girl and He loves you! You sprinkle His seeds of love wherever you go!” Those words were spoken to me by my husband Joe many years ago. They came at a time when I was questioning my self-worth in God’s Kingdom, purposes, and plans. The Father made sure that in my darkest spiritual hour, I heard His Truth about my identity and self-worth. It has been my passion ever since to deliver that same message to any who may need to hear it. It is not about who we are, but Whose we are, and I am God’s girl!
