“You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet! The Lord says, I will rescue those who love Me. I will protect those who trust in My Name. When they call on Me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them My salvation.” Psalm 91:13-16
As we navigate through this uncertain and unique time in American history, I am reminded of King Darius from the story of Daniel and the Lion’s den. This is a remarkable story of love, faith, obedience and God’s goodness. The King, unable to sleep, prayed, fasted and lamented the entire evening believing in the God of Daniel to deliver him from the lion’s mouth.
Many are feeling surrounded and trapped by their circumstances. The devil, indeed, is our adversary and prowls around like a lion waiting to devour us. Beloved, the King has granted you favor. He is for you, not against you. He wants you to be a victor and for your enemies to be your footstool. He will avenge you when you are faithful and obedient to His decrees.
This is what the Lord God Almighty is saying to you now:
“Yes, the lions may roar, and the enemy may prowl but your God is mightier. I AM the Lord your God. I hold the Universe in My righteous right hand and command it to sift through like sand. I can call together the seas, lands and sky and instruct them to dance. I can speak to the sun, moon and stars and order them to sing. When I speak, I create life and destroy death. I AM calling you home; I AM calling you back to Me. I AM calling you to turn your eyes upon Jesus and away from the lions that prowl. You may feel you are caged in and there is no way out but watch and see! Pray and cry out to Me! Be patient in your affliction and stand strong on My Word. When you stand for justice; when you stand for righteousness; when you stand for mercy and grace – you are standing with Me! When you stand with My Son Jesus, you become holy, sanctified, set-apart, faithful and you stand on My foundations of Truth. You become My beloved, My child. You will have the Power in His Name to trample on the prowling lions and those wanting to lock you up in darkness, despair, despondency and death. I hold the keys to every one of those locks and I will give you those keys when you come home to Me. Any door that man locks, I can open. Any door that man opens, I can shut. For, I AM, Almighty God, Creator of ALL things in the Heavens and the Earth. Come home to Me and partake in My Goodness. I want to pour out My love upon you now. You will no longer be an orphan and you will be at peace with Me. I will set a place for you at My Banquet Table. I will set you free from all things that bind you. I will loose you to run with the Lion of Judah and partake in His spoils. You will walk the victory walk with Him and take your place in My Kingdom. I will shut the lion’s mouth that prowls around to destroy you and make you its master. I am inviting you to come home.”
Daniel 6:25-27
“King Darius published this proclamation to every race, color, and creed on earth! Peace to you! Abundant peace! I decree that Daniel’s God shall be worshiped and feared in all parts of my kingdom. He is the living God, world without end. His Kingdom never falls. His rule continues eternally. He is a Savior and Rescuer. He performs astonishing miracles in Heaven and on Earth. He saved Daniel from the power of the lions.”
And … He WILL save you!
“You are God’s girl and He loves you! You sprinkle His seeds of love wherever you go!” Those words were spoken to me by my husband Joe many years ago. They came at a time when I was questioning my self-worth in God’s Kingdom, purposes, and plans. The Father made sure that in my darkest spiritual hour, I heard His Truth about my identity and self-worth. It has been my passion ever since to deliver that same message to any who may need to hear it. It is not about who we are, but Whose we are, and I am God’s girl!
