“May the God of peace equip you with every good thing you need.ā€ Hebrews 13:21

Metaphorically speaking, God has equipped His children to be an arrow in His quiver. Therefore, as a child of God, you don’t need to quiver when the devil slings his fiery arrows at you because you’ve become a tool in the Lord’s Arsenal against him. You’re now equipped and ready to be engaged in any battle that comes your way! In order to be ready, you must not only discern when you’re entering into a spiritual war zone, but you also must know how to extinguish the fiery arrows of the enemy before he attacks. Read Ephesians 6:10-20 to find out how!

Mark 6:56 details how Jesus went about healing all who were sick. ā€œWherever He went, in the countryside, villages, or towns, they placed the sick on mats in the streets or in public place and begged Him, saying, ā€œJust let us touch the tassel of your prayer shawl!ā€ And all who touched Him were instantly healed!

The Gospels tell of a woman with an issue of blood. She knew that by touching the hem of Jesus’ garment she would be healed. How? She was taught by hearing the Word. She had heard the reports about Jesus and came up behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. She said, ā€œI knew if I could just touch even the fringe of Your robe I would be healed.ā€

The Hebrew word for a tassel or fringe on a garment can also mean wing. Some have interpreted Malachi 4:2 as a reference to the tassels on the prayer shawl Jesus wore and why the woman reached out for it. ā€œBut unto you that fear My Name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings.ā€

This woman heard the Word about Jesus being the Healer and by faith acted upon it. She should’ve been quivering in fear to be out in a crowd in her condition. Back then, she would have been considered unclean because of her hemorrhaging—it was law that she remain away from crowds. However, her faith in what she was hearing about Jesus gave her the strength to fight for her healing. And it paid off!

Friends, I encourage you now to take that chance with whatever you are contending for by faith. If you haven’t accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, do so now and become part of the family and promises of God! Be an arrow in His Quiver and allow Him to equip you for your battles. You need not fear and tremble when the storms of life come against you. Jesus told us in Matthew 14:27 to, ā€œTake courage, it is I; do not be afraid.ā€

He didn’t tell us to fend for ourselves. He told us to take courage from Him. In Him is our very strength and power. We can do all things through Him and in our weakness, He makes us strong. When you make Jesus your Lord, you’re equipped for the assignments He has for your life and you become a victorious conqueror!

If you haven’t received Him, do so now by stating out loud, ā€œDear Lord Jesus, Thank you for dying on the Cross for my sin. Please forgive me. Come into my life. I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Now, help me to live for You the rest of this life. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.ā€

When you spend quiet time in His Word you will be equipped and ready for any battle! Soak in these scriptures below and receive a touch from Heaven right now:

ā€œFaith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ. For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have Divine Power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God and take every thought captive to obey Christ. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the Heavenly places. So be strong in the Lord and in His mighty Power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. For whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. The Lord your God is He who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you the victory. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Therefore, do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Hear what the Lord is saying now, ā€˜Fear not, for I AM with you; be not dismayed, for I AM your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ You can do all things through Him and in all these things you are more than a conqueror. Go forth now in battle as the God of peace equips you with every good thing you need.ā€ (Romans 10:17, 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, Ephesians 6:12, Ephesians 6:10, James 4:7, 1 John 4:15, Deuteronomy 20:4, Deuteronomy 31:8, Isaiah 41:10, Philippians 4:13, Romans 8:37, Hebrews 13:20-21)

ABOUT Marie Scinto

“You are God’s girl and He loves you! You sprinkle His seeds of love wherever you go!ā€ Those words were spoken to me by my husband Joe many years ago. They came at a time when I was questioning my self-worth in God’s Kingdom, purposes, and plans. The Father made sure that in my darkest spiritual hour, I heard His Truth about my identity and self-worth. It has been my passion ever since to deliver that same message to any who may need to hear it. It is not about who we are, but Whose we are, and I am God’s girl!
