“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.” 1 Corinthians 16:13

The foundation of your faith needs to be solid enough that when you’re called to stand on it, you can trust it won’t crumble beneath the weight of your anxious and fear-filled thoughts. Therefore, it’s imperative to understand where faith comes from, what it is and how to use it; and the Word of God is the place to find those answers.

Faith comes in the form of a gift from God.

Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace, you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.

Faith is simply trusting in God’s Word and believing He has the best plan for your life even when you can’t see it.

Hebrews 11:1
To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot see.

Faith is your weaponry and key to victory.

1 John 5:4
For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

When you stand in faith during times of trouble, Jesus will honor you on the Day of His return. What other god would serve His servants? None but Jesus! Your faith in times of adversity will not only strengthen you but it will also encourage others to stand firm in their battles. Everything has an eternal purpose, and your perseverance will never go unnoticed by those watching -nor by Jesus. The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy but Jesus came to offer you an abundant life. You’ve been given the spiritual tools you need to fight the real enemy which is Satan and his legions. Stay awake and alert because he prowls around like a lion waiting to pounce when you’re tired from standing!

1 Peter 1:7
Your faith will be like gold that has been tested in a fire. And these trials will prove that your faith is worth much more than gold that can be destroyed. They will show that you will be given praise and honor and glory when Jesus Christ returns.

Luke 12:37
Blessed are those servants whom the Master finds awake and watching when He arrives. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, He will prepare Himself to serve, and will have them recline at the table, and will come and wait on them.

Romans 5:1-5
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through Him we have also obtained access by faith into this Grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the Glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

The Word gives you the strength you need to persevere and stay standing and it’s your spiritual food to sustain you during the battle. Hallelujah! You’ve been given a great and precious promise friend – you shall overcome, and Jesus will reward your perseverance. There’s a reason why this entry about faith has so many scripture references; it’s because we are told in Romans 10:17 that faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the Word of Christ.

That’s the key to your assured victory Beloved –  your faith in Jesus and His Word!

For the Lord your God is He who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you the victory. Therefore, in all circumstances take up the Shield of Faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one. And continue to fight the good fight of the faith by taking hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. Blessed are those who remain steadfast under trial, for when they have stood the test they will receive the Crown of Life, which God has promised to those who love Him. Deuteronomy 20:4, Ephesians 6:16, 1 Timothy 6:12, James 1:12

ABOUT Marie Scinto

Marie Scinto
“You are God’s girl and He loves you! You sprinkle His seeds of love wherever you go!” Those words were spoken to me by my husband Joe many years ago. They came at a time when I was questioning my self-worth in God’s Kingdom, purposes, and plans. The Father made sure that in my darkest spiritual hour, I heard His Truth about my identity and self-worth. It has been my passion ever since to deliver that same message to any who may need to hear it. It is not about who we are, but Whose we are, and I am God’s girl!
