“The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
A few years back, I was compelled to pull out some giant weeds that grew down the embankment off my driveway. They were over five feet tall, and the stalks were as thick as cucumbers. As I was facing these giants, I could not help but make a spiritual connection to the evil snares satan plants in our minds and paths. When I was pulling them up, I kept visualizing an evil force being pulled out. As I yanked the weeds out of the ground these freakishly large worms, spiders, and frogs came scrambling out from beneath the roots towards me. I normally would have been terrified of critters that large running over my feet, but because I had armed myself with a spiritual mindset, I felt empowered to shoo them off. Demons are messing with Believers in the same way. They want us to be overwhelmed and tormented by the obstacles they plant in our paths. They want us focusing on the unknown and too terrified to fight.
2 Timothy 1:7
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and sound mind.”
I heard the Father recently say:
“Do not ever think for one moment, that I AM not listening and caring about those things in your day-to-day life that creep in like a fog. You need not worry, nor be anxious because you have the authority to release it and send it back. Sometimes you must keep standing, but do not stop, you will see these things must obey your decrees because you come from Me. Not only do I see My Son in you, but these Dark forces do as well, and they cannot cross the line drawn by the Blood of My Son on the ground in front of you. Be encouraged, filled, healed, and influenced in the things of Me, your God, your Father, your Jesus. Release My Words. This brutality you are seeing on a grand scale is a picture of what you are fighting against, but you are not alone. Your voices will never be silenced when you join them together with Mine. One voice in My Name will storm these gates of Hell and push back the evil. Remember, I AM the judge of all. Yes, in this world you will keep seeing evil working against good. But remember children, that I alone, AM good. I AM the Light, and I use My Church to shine it on the Darkness. Stay in travail and speak out My Words against what you are seeing. It is your greatest weapon. Pray for the salvation of those not saved. Pray for the Church to speak boldly when they come face-to-face with demonic forces, and pray they know and use My Words against them. As I have said, as it is written, satan will flee when My Name and My Words are spoken.”
Know this though, you cannot fight satan with satan. If you carry any of these seven despicable things in your walk — you will never win your battles. Drop them now and pick up your Sword — the Word of God. To walk in humility is to lay low at the feet of Jesus. Fight your battles there with the Word in your heart and on your mouth. That is how you shake the gates of Hell every time. Submit to God and resist the temptation to lower yourself to the devil’s standards; or raise yourself up above Gods.
Proverbs 6:16-19 (TPT)
“There are six evils God truly hates and a seventh that is an abomination to Him: Putting others down while considering yourself superior, spreading lies and rumors, spilling the blood of the innocent, plotting evil in your heart toward another, gloating over doing what’s plainly wrong, spouting lies in false testimony, and stirring up strife between friends. These are entirely despicable to God!”
Jesus said He has given His followers authority in the spiritual realm, so we must stand in this authority and pray to destroy the works of the enemy. When we see an evil force moving, we need to declare in His Name and command that force of evil to leave. There is no greater force against evil, than a prayer force.
Ephesians 6:10-18
“Put on the whole Armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present Darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole Armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand, stand firm.”
James 4:7
“So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.”
