Your promises are the source of my bubbling joy; the revelation of your Word thrills me like one who has discovered hidden treasure." Psalm 119:162

Our God is profoundly detail-oriented, often embedding powerful meaning within the seemingly insignificant. Digging beneath the surface to uncover these "golden nuggets" is not only awe-inspiring but a joyful adventure to share with Him.

Grab a shovel, start digging, and be amazed!

The fields where the angelic choir sang to the shepherds near Bethlehem are the same fields where Ruth, the Moabite, gleaned barley for Boaz. Imagine: the same fields near Bethlehem where the angels heralded Jesus' birth to shepherds were once gleaned by Ruth for Boaz! This echoes how the Messiah, the ultimate Shepherd, first appeared in the very soil of Israel's redemptive history.

Luke 2:8-20
“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest Heaven, and on Earth peace to those on whom His favor rests.”

Jesus’ genealogy line shows Ruth and Boaz as descendants. Their son, Obed, was the grandfather of King David.

Luke 1:30-32
“So, the angel told her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David, and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever. His kingdom will never end!”

God ensured that the enduring narrative of His covenant faithfulness—a testament to His unwavering love and reliability—could be read and understood by all. This steadfast love, consistently true and dependable, brings forth blessing, continuity, and redemption to all humanity through the promises He has made through Israel’s story. We are woven together and grafted into these marvelous promises.

Romans 11:17-18
“But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you.”

The Father cares about every detail of your life. Nothing is too insignificant for His concern. He desires your safety and invites you to trust Him completely. As your Shepherd, He understands what it means to be a sheep, wanting you to grow and be perfected in Him—the perfect Lamb of God. He has given His life for you because He loved you and loves you still. Have no doubt that He is intimately involved in every aspect of your life. He wants you to follow where He leads, in every moment, every single day, walking with Him the entire way.

This coming year, find His joy and move forward with Him into your destiny — designed by God just for you!

Ephesians 2:10
“For we are God’s workmanship (Poiema), created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Live each day with purpose, knowing God intends to prosper, not harm, you. Rest in His promises and rely on Him to work miracles in your life. Take His Words into your heart as your daily bread, building your strength and mind. Maintain faith; He provides the strength you need to get through each day.

ABOUT MARIE SCINTO

Marie Scinto

"You are God’s girl and He loves you! You sprinkle His seeds of love wherever you go!” Those words were spoken to me by my husband Joe many years ago. They came at a time when I was questioning my self-worth in God’s Kingdom, purposes, and plans. The Father made sure that in my darkest spiritual hour, I heard His Truth about my identity and self-worth. It has been my passion ever since to deliver that same message to any who may need to hear it. It is not about who we are, but Whose we are, and I am God’s girl!
