We are open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 9:00AM – 3:00PM. Due to the high volume of requests, client services are by appointment only. Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Out of care for others waiting for help, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours' if you need to cancel your appointment.

Who Receives Furniture?
Our program is here to provide support for those who have experienced significant life changes as a result of hardships. Whether you had to abandon your furniture during a move or are starting anew, we are dedicated to helping you. We serve residents from communities located in Greater Waterbury and Litchfield Hills. Thank you for helping me and my family out. It is really tough for us to move into a new house with any furniture or beds and you are really helping us get through this big move. I'm very grateful that you are giving me and my sisters and my mom and my nanny beds, and I can't wait until I get mine.
How Do I Receive Furniture?
Furniture has the power to transform a house into a home. At Acts 4 Ministry, our volunteers work with individuals and families who are experiencing significant life changes as a result of hardship to help make their new space feel like home.
Furniture assistance is available once per household. If you have previously received furniture from Acts 4 Ministry, you are not eligible to make another furniture request.
How It Works
1. Contact us.
Call Acts 4 Ministry at 203-574-2287 to discuss your furniture needs and determine if you qualify for assistance.
2. Schedule an appointment.
If you qualify, our Client Care team will schedule an appointment with you. During your appointment, we will ask questions about your needs and preferences and take measurements of your doorways, windows, and available space. This helps us select furniture that will work well in your home.
3. Receive your furniture.
Our volunteers select from a combination of new and gently used furniture available through Acts 4 Ministry. Furniture is provided free of charge and delivered directly to your home.
A $50 delivery fee is requested for furniture deliveries. If another organization is helping to cover this fee, please let our Client Care team know during your appointment so we can coordinate payment.
