Acts 4 has been shining the light of Christ in the Greater Waterbury community for over 20 years. In 2025 alone, the ministry has:
-
- Serve over 825 households
- Serve first-time clients, who represented 65% of those helped, reflecting the growing need in our community
- Provide an average of $725 in new furniture with each delivery
- Support families up to twice per year, with an average of 82 essential items per visit
- Equip 250+ school-aged children with school supplies, uniforms, and backpacks
As a volunteer, I’ve seen the impact our ministry has on its clients. I’ve delivered school-aged children their first-ever bed, carried in a kitchen table for women who finally had the courage to leave an abusive relationship—creating a space where they and their children could sit down together for a meal—and provided a sofa for a formerly incarcerated man to rest after a long day of working to reenter society.
In these moments, I feel deeply blessed to serve those who cannot serve themselves and to show love to those who often feel unlovable.
In my new role as a board member, I now understand those moments for both the volunteer and client don’t happen without our donors. Every life touched and every volunteer inspired is made possible by each of you.
As we turn the page from 2025, we invite you to reflect on your year. If you feel called to do more in support of the most vulnerable among us, please consider giving or volunteering with Acts 4 Ministry in 2026.
